Story to readers:
Y’all, 2020 had me stressed—and I know I’m not alone in that! You all know how much I love my food and cocktails, so when I couldn’t dine at my favorite spots, I brought the flavors home, recreating recipes and whipping up drinks for my quarantine crew!
And then when DNice kicked off Club Quarantine? You already know I had those happy hour drinks ready! 🥂 And Verzus? We needed the snacks and sips for that too! Plus, only having to go into the office once a week? What a time to be alive!
But by the time 2022 rolled around, I had to face the music—I was up 30 pounds! I tried to get back in shape a few times, but with the craziness of post-2020 business life, it was hard to keep up. Finally, at the end of 2023, I decided it was time to make a change. Not just to look good but to feel better too. And let me tell you, it was the best decision I’ve made in the last four years!
I’ve already passed my 30-pound goal, and now I’m just 5 pounds away from being down 40 pounds! I haven’t seen this kind of progress since I gave birth 15 years ago. And the best part? I didn’t have to deprive myself of the foods I love, didn’t jump on any fad diets, and didn’t even step foot in a gym-EXCEPT when on vacation when I couldn’t do my regular workouts. I exercised, sure, but it was fun—no burpees in sight! 😂 During this journey, I enjoyed a variety of delicious foods and cocktails. In this new e-cookbook, you’ll find various cuisines, breakfast, lunch, dinner snacks and cocktails! I hope you enjoy the food and your healthy journey as much as I have!
Cheers,
Chef Jolie
